A friend showed me a slab of this material.  I thought that it had several possibilities so he gave me the piece and said to go ahead and cut a piece for myself.  He did not know where it came from.  After cutting and polishing this cabochon I noticed the white and clear quartz swirls between the salmon colored areas.  I elected to wrap this cabochon with 22 gage 14/20 gold filled wire that brings out the salmon color.
