October Gem Show in Franklin NC

We weren't sure if we'd be able to do the October Gem Show after Stacy's accident, but Kathi decided she would do alone if necessary. Members of the Franklin Gem & Mineral Society offered to help set up and watch our booth during breaks.

As it turned out, Stacy was cleared to drive short distances the day before setup. He was able to drive to the show location and supervise the unloading of the car and set up our light fixtures. The show ran Friday through Sunday. Stacy was able to come over each day for a few hours before going home to elevate and ice his ankle. Everyone was happy to see him out and about and a few customers shared their scars and boo boo stories with him.

After the show club members helped load up our vehicles. Stacy and I took our time unloading and putting things away. One friend gave us over 9 lbs of Scuppernong grapes which he had picked the day before that Kathi made into jelly.
